The remake aims to be to the original Code: Veronica what the Resident Evil 2 remake was to the 1998 classic, retaining the horror of the original game while adding new environments and an over-the-shoulder perspective. Code Veronica was always going to be Code Veronica, they never planned on it being a numbered game. This upcoming remake is the work of a small group of fans, and you can track their efforts here. But previous rumours did suggest that we'll be seeing yearly entries into the Resi release cycle, and prepping a Code Veronica game is a good way to ensure we've got something in 2021 or beyond. Resident Evil 3 was originally about HUNK on a ship, which wouldve been the end result of him getting out of RC with the G virus sample. Of course, nothing has been announced by Capcom yet. The events of Code Veronica would see all the characters over-lapping in some degree, which has got the internet into a bit of a fervour. 'I know I didn’t know you guys personally, although I do feel like I’ve worked with one of you, but I think it’s a project that hasn’t come out yet, so I won’t say anything,' Panisello teased, cryptically.

Resident Evil Code: Veronica is currently receiving the full remake treatment thanks to two dedicated fans. Resident Evil 3 is a 2020 survival horror video game developed and published by Capcom.Released for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One, it is a remake of the 1999 game Resident Evil 3: Nemesis.The game follows former elite agent Jill Valentine and mercenary Carlos Oliveira as they attempt to find a vaccine and escape from a city during a viral outbreak. Capcom might not have plans to remaster this classic, but that doesn’t mean fans aren’t interested. The actress chats about her experiences with other Resident Evil: Nick Apostolides who plays Leon and Nicole Tompkins who plays Jill both get mentioned in the section, and Panisello mentions that there's more collaborative work in an 'upcoming project'. Resident Evil Code: Veronica's fan remake has a demo out now, allowing players to try out this modern take on the 2000 classic.

In a podcast by Residence of Evil (via Alt-Char) the voice actress behind Resi protagonist Claire (Stephanie Panisello) suggested that there has been more work she's done that's not yet seen the light of day.
